Overview:

After meeting your guide in a central and easy to find spot in St. Mark's Square, you will walk to the Doge's Palace, the former site of the Venetian government, where you will have preferential entrance. Here you will walk you through the important institutional rooms of the Doge's Palace, like the Hall of the Great Council admiring the masterpieces painted by Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese.


Afterwards, you will visit the Doge's Apartment, pass through the famous Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. Proceed to St Mark's Square as the guide explains the historical significance of the site while walking towards the Basilica.


Skip the long line to get inside, you will have the chance to admire its 43000 square feet of golden mosaics and learn the history of its architecture and decorations.


Climb on the balcony to admire the spacial treasure of the basilica, the famous 4 horses, brought to Venice from Costantinople after the sack of the city in 1204 by the Venetian Republic's army.

St. Mark's Basilica can be subject to unforeseen closures due to particular liturgical celebrations. In case the basilica is closed, the guide will give you explanations from the outside.


Between November 3rd and March 31st, there is no skip the line access to St. Mark's Basilica, nevertheless, lines at this time of year are usually minimal.
