Your guide will meet you in front of the Vatican museums. Once inside the museum, your guide will lead you through the vast collection of private artwork in the Vatican Museums.

Pass through the Gallery of the Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries while your guide will tell you about the Popes' intrigues and history, gaze at the ancient Roman amazing sculptures and learn lots of interesting things about classic Roman statues.

Walk through Raphael's Roomsand admire the paintings by this young and talented Renaissance artist, then step inside the Sistine Chapel the Pope's private Chapel and the highlight of any Vatican trip.

Looking up you'll be amazed by Michelangelo's Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement, decorating the wall in front of you. The guide will tell you everything about the story of these frescoes and Michelangel's life and difficult relationships with the Pope.

Continue to St Peter's Basilica, to which you have privileged and fast access through the stairways from the Sistine Chapel.

 Learn about its history and admire Michelangelo's Pietà, walk around the basilica with your guide who will explain all secrets and beauties of this place.

Pre-booking this ticket enables you to skip the long lines (which can take up to two hours!) to enter the Vatican Museums. Please note, all visitors must pass through metal detectors at the security check point.

Tours on Wednesday: There is a possibility that St Peter's Basilica and St Peter's Square will be unavailable due to the weekly Papal Audience during which access to St Peter's Basilica is closed. As an alternative you will be offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, which still includes the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you prefer that St Peter's Basilica and Square are included, please DO NOT select Wednesday as your tour date.

Please be punctual at the appointment with the guide as tickets are reserved specifically for that time. If you arrive late there is the risk that you'll have refused entrance t the museums

This is a walking tour: comfortable shoes are recommended

On rare occasions, St Peter's Basilica closes without notice. If this happens, you'll spend a full 3 hours touring the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. This is beyond our control.

Vatican Museums provide wheelchairs free of charge in the main lobby, but in this case you won't have fast access to St Peter's becasue this is forbiddedn to wheelchairs

Backpacks , tripods and big umbrellas must be left inside a cloakroom on entering the Vatican Museums. We recommend not to take this items on this tour
